Thank you for visiting the 2002 Fauxcademy of Decorative Finish Award Updates. To view the results of our awards ceremony, and to see who took home the top honors for this years phenominal event, please click on a topic of interest listed below. After engulfing ourselves in three intense days of fantastic seminars and workshops, instructed by some of the industries leading faux and decorative finishing professionals, the night we had all been waiting for was finally upon us, The Fauxcademy of Decorative Finish Awards Ceremony 2002 A.D. the grand finale, and the heart of the weekend. This year many incredible faux & decorative finishes from across the United States were submitted for entry into The Fauxcademy of Decorative Finish Awards. Each entry was judged by a 4 judge panel, comprised of the some of the industries leading professionals in the art of faux & decorative finishes. All entries were judged on a stringent scale according to the level of experience as well as a strict set of rules and regulations set out by the Faux Finish Institute in accordance to their appropriate category. The 2 levels broken-out below were designed to allow faux and decorative finishers of all experience levels the opportunity to compete on an even field of competition. Level I: Level I awards are for decorative finishers and artists who have been in the decorative finish business for one year or less. Level I entries will compete for the top honor Fauxcademy of Decorative Finish Awards Platinum Certificate presented for each category. Level II: Level II awards are for decorative finishers and artists who have been in the decorative finish business for one year or more. Level II entries will compete for the top honor Fauxcademy of Decorative Finish Awards Trophy presented for each category.
In each category for Level I and Level II there will be Gold Certificate (2nd Place) and Silver Certificate (3rd Place) award winners.
